As of circa 1854,her married name was Sterner. In June 1860,Leah Deagen and Jesse Sterner appeared on the Federal Census of Codorus Twp., York County, Pennsylvania, listed as owning no real estate, but having $643 in personal property. Their children Edward D., Jacob Deagan, Priscilla Irene and Conrad D. were listed as living with them.3 In 1880,Leah Deagen and Jesse Sterner appeared on the Federal Census of Codorus Twp., York County, Pennsylvania. Their children Estella May, Nathan D., Priscilla Irene, Wesley D. and William D. were listed as living with them.4 Leah Deagen died on 7 December 1889 at age 52.2 She was buried after 7 December 1889 at Greenmount Cemetery, Codorus Twp., York County, Pennsylvania.2
